    Feather, английский
    1. (see swine`s or swedish feather.) it is used variously. (see also full feather and white feather.)

    2. [1] the plume created by a submarine periscope moving through the water. [2] the foamy spray at the stem of a moving craft. [3] to sail so close to the wind that the forward edge of the sail luffs. [4] to turn the blade of an oar parallel to the water during the return stroke. [5] to adjust the pitch of a naval or aviation propeller so that it creates no forward thrust.
