Circulating header system

Oil glossary
A lubrication system having isolated lube zones wherein the lube pump runs continuously and circulates oil through the header, a return filter and back to tank during the idle period. when lubrication is required, a normal open solenoid valve in the return loop is actuated, allowing pump pressure to build. the zone valves are then sequentially opened to provide lubricant to the individual zones. oil dispensed to the friction points is not reused, therefore, the system is a terminating type.

Lubrication, английский
  1. The control of friction and wear by the introduction of a friction-reducing film between moving surfaces in contact. the lubricant used can be a fluid, solid, or plastic substance.

  2. Смазка

  3. On no account should oil be used to lubricate pin-tumbler cylinders. graphite is the conventional lubricant for this mechanism.

  4. Смазка (действие)

  5. The act of injecting a fluid, normally bentonite and/or polymers, to reduce the skin friction and jacking forces on the jacking pipe during installation. the fluid fills the annular space.

  6. Means of reducing friction either around a pipe being jacked or a shaft being sunk into the ground.

  7. The control of friction and wear between two moving, touching surfaces by placing a friction-reducing substance between them.

  8. Control of friction and wear by the introduction of a friction reducing film between moving surfaces in contact. the film may be fluid, solid or plastic.

  9. Reduction of friction or wear between two load-bearing surfaces by the application of a lubricant; includes boundary lubrication (thin or interrupted fluid film, especially bearings where wear occurs); mixed film, where some liquid pools support the load; elastohydrodynamic (high-pressure loads increase the lubricant’s viscosity and load-carrying capacity, especially in gears); hydrodynamic (a thick fluid film lubrication, especially in journal bearings) and hydrostatic (external pump pressure used to form a thick fluid film, as in start-up of journal bearings).

Continuously, английский

Individual, английский
    Физическое лицо

Terminating, английский
Terminating a fiber is accomplished through preparing the fiber for connection to another fiber or device such as a connector. the goal when terminating is to produce a perfect end to the fiber. the end should be cleanly cut, clear and physically connected to the receiving optical device. this can be accomplished through two means; permanently joining the fibers by welding or gluing the ends of the fiber together, or mechanically aligning the fibers and joining them with transparent gel.

Continuous, английский
  1. Непрерывный

  2. Непрерывный; длительный; продолжающийся

  3. A продолженный, дли- тельный, непрерванный form, future, past, present contoid n контоид

  4. Непрерывный, неразрывный, сплошной, неразрезной (об элементах конструкции)

Sequential, английский
  1. Последовательный

  2. A являющийся продол- жением или следствием; последовательный; секвенциальный accountability, derivation, grammar seriation n выстраивание рядов

Circulating oil, английский
A lubrication system wherein the oil pump runs continuously and circulates oil to the friction points on a continuous basis. the oil is drained back to tank, filtered, cooled as required and reused.

Chromatography, английский
  1. An analytical technique whereby a complex substance is adsorbed on a solid or liquid substrate and progressively eluted by a flow of a substance (the eluant) in which the components of the substance under investigation are differentially soluble. the eluant can be a liquid or a gas. when the substrate is filter paper and the eluant a liquid, a chromatogram of colored bands can be developed by use of indicators. for gas chromatography, electronic detectors are normally used to indicate passage of the various components from the system.

  2. A method of separating chemicals through a porous medium, used in analysing compounds and mixtures

  3. Хроматографии

  5. The generic name of a group of processes for separating and analyzing mixtures of chemical compounds. the separation depends on the redistribution of molecules of the mixture between phases, one of which is thin, often reaching molecular dimensions. for this reason, molecular size and shape are important in the separation, and extremely subtle separations are possible. chute-feed system: pneumatic fiber transport system used in linking textile processing equipment or operations, especially opening, blending, and carding. circular-knit fabric: a tubular weft-knit fabric made of a circular-knitting machine.

  6. A powerful method for analyzing fluids and determining their components by selective adsorption or size exclusion, using liquid or gas as the eluent. in the adsorptive procedure, the substance flows slowly through a column of adsorbent; as different substances pass at different speeds, they separate from each other and can sometimes be isolated and identified. in other cases, the chromatogram (a trace of the signal from the detector) is utilized to fingerprint a lubricant. liquid chromatography is used for lubricants because of their low volatility. paper chromatography, an adsorptive method, is often used to examine or establish the sludge or dispersive characteristics of a lubricant. gel permeation chromatography, a size exclusion method, separates polymeric (oxidized oil/sludge) material from a lubricant base stock by molecular weight.
