Light Glossary
  1. An object, material or vapor that transmits and diffuses light but not clear images. examples: frost gel and dense smoke. tip: use some rim light or back light.

  2. (1) pertaining to a medium which transmits light diffusely, so that objects viewed through it are not clearly distinguished. (2) transmitting light but causing sufficient diffusion to eliminate perception of distinct images.

  3. Descriptive of a material that transmits light but diffuses it sufficiently so that an image cannot be seen through the material clearly.
