Свод законов, русский
- Официально издаваемый государством сборник законодательства, в котором помещаются сведенные в одно издание и расположенные в определенном порядке (систематическом. хронологическом и др.) действующие нормативные акты. обычно предполагает проведение значительных подготовительных и прежде всего кодификационных работ. своды должны состоять в основном из кодифицированных и других укрупненных актов по всем отраслям права, а также актов,устраняющих законодательные пробелы.

- Obsolete term for the left side of a ship. derived from "lay-board" providing access between a ship and a quay, when ships normally docked with the left side to the wharf. replaced by port side or port, to avoid confusion with starboard.
- The left side of a ship, when the spectator`s face is towards the bow. the italians derive starboard from questa borda, “this side,” and larboard from, quella borda, “that side;” abbreviated into sta borda and la borda. their resemblance caused so many mistakes that, by order of the admiralty, larboard is now thrown overboard, and port substituted. “port the helm” is even mentioned in arthur pit`s voyage in 1580.
