Theory patching, английский
Theory patching is a form of theory revision which allows revisions to individual components of a given domain theory to classify all training examples correctly. it differs from standard (machine learning) learning problems in that the theory is treated as being only partially revisable rather than replaceable. see also: http://www.jair.com/

Speech recognition, английский
  1. This area is also referred to as automatic speech recognition (asr), and concerns the process of breaking continuous speech into a discrete series of recognized words. it is complicated by the wide variety of pronunciations of words by different speakers and by the same speaker under different circumstances. other problems include homonyms (dear versus deer) and related forms of ambiguity (youth in asia and euthanasia) as well as slurring and other forms of contraction (howareya and how are you).

  2. The algorithmic process of turning speech signals into text or commands.67

  3. The ability to interpret vocal commands or convert spoken words into computer-readable text. speech recognition programs enable you to control an application or enter text by speaking into a microphone, rather than by using a keyboard.
