Bedding plane, английский
- The surface at which two beds, layers, or strata join in stratified rocks.
- A planar or nearly planar bedding surface that visibly separates successive layers of a stratified sedimentary rock section. the term is also used for bedding surfaces even when conspicuously bent or deformed by folding. 109
