Miter joint, английский
- The joint of two pieces at an angle that bisects the joining angle. for example, the miter joint at the side and head casing at a door opening is made at a 45° angle.
- A juncture between front and temple where both mating surfaces are angularly cut.
- A joint between two members at an angle to each other; each member is cut at an angle equal to half the angle of the junction; usually the members are at right angles to each other.
- A joint that forms a corner with both pieces usually cut at a 45 degree angle when forming a 90 degree corner.
