Leading (pronounced ledding), английский
Vertical space between lines of type, measured in points. in metal type, leading is the additional space (from inserting strips of lead between lines of metal type). in phototype and digital type, where there is no metal body determining the height of the type, leading has come to mean the total space from one line to the next, usually measured from baseline to baseline.
