Deflected tendons

Глоссарий по архитектуре и конструкциям
In a concrete member, tendons which have a curved trajectory with respect to the gravity axis of the member. deflection 1. any displacement in a body from its static position, or from an established direction or plane, as a result of forces acting on the body. 2. the deformation of a structural member as a result of loads acting on it.

Deflect, английский
  1. Отклонять (ся)

  2. To intentionally change the course of a bore¬hole at a point some distance below the collar. also called wedge, wedge off.

Deflectare, латинский

Deflected, английский
A borehole the course of which has intentionally or unintentionally been changed at some point below the collar.

Deflected shape, английский
Said of the profile of a structure that is deformed when it is loaded.

Deflected tendons., английский

Deflected tenon. drapery panel 1., английский

Deflectere, латинский

Deflectere [o, flexi, flectum], латинский

Deflectere [o, xi, xum], латинский

Deflecteur, французский

Deflecting, английский
The act or process of intentionally or un¬intentionally changing the course of a borehole at a point some distance below the collar. 31

Deflecting core, английский
The core removed from a deflected borehole.

Deflecting plug, английский
  1. Base plug,

  2. Sometimes used by petroleum drillers as a synonym for deflecting wedge.

Deflecting wedge, английский
A class of devices intentionally placed in a borehole to change its course. all such devices are basically long, tapered, concave metal plugs which can be set at a predetermined point and bearing in a borehole to deflect or change its course. also called correcting wedge, deflecting plug, deflection wedge, hall-rowe wedge, spade-end wedge, thompson wedge.

Deflection, английский
  1. The deference between a tire's unloaded or free radius and the loaded radius.

  2. Vertical distance between the chord and the skyline, measured at midspan; frequently expressed as a percentage of the horizontal span length (22).

  3. The displacement of a structural member or system under load.

  4. Отклонение

  5. The ricochet of a ball after it hits a player.

  6. The tendency of a ship from her true course; the departure of the magnetic needle from its true bearing, when influenced by iron or the local attraction of the mass. in artillery, the deviation of a shot from the direction in which it is fired. the term is usually reserved to lateral deviations, especially those resulting from irregular causes—those constant ones due to the regular motion of rifled projectiles coming under either of the designations “constant deflection,” “derivation,” borrowed from the french, or “drift,” from the americans. these latter, according to the direction usually given to the rifling in the present day, all tend away to the right, though they include some subordinate curves not yet distinctly determined.

  7. [1] gunnery term for the angle between the line-of-sight to the target and the line-of-sight to which the gun must be pointed to compensate for movement, wind, etc. [2] deviation of a compass needle caused by local magnetic influence, especially on a ship.

  8. A change in the intended course of a borehole produced intentionally or unintentionally by various conditions encountered in the drill hole or by the operational characteristics of the drilling equipment used. also called deviation.

  9. Отклонение от прямого направления отклонение магнитной стрелки; отклонение стрелки (приборов)

  10. See static tire deflection,

Deflection (aka "squirt"), английский
    Short for "cue-ball deflection"

Deflection (rudder), английский

Deflection action, английский
    Действие по отклонению

Deflection amplifier, английский
    Усилитель отклонения

Deflection angle, английский
  1. In surveying, a horizontal angle measured from prolongation of the preceding transit line to the next line; recorded as “right” if clockwise rotation and “left” if counterclockwise.

  2. The angular change in the course of a borehole produced accidentally or intentionally.

Trajectory, английский
  1. Trajectoire

  2. Траектория

  3. An astronomical term for the orbital curve described by a planet or comet, now seldom used in that science, but generally employed for the path described by a shot or shell.

  4. The curved flight path followed by a projectile.

Displacement, английский
  1. Перемещение

  2. Водоизмещение

  3. The weight of water displaced by the immersed volume of a ship`s hull, exactly equivalent to the weight of the whole ship.

  4. The weight, in tons of 2,240 pounds, of the vessel and its contents. calculated by dividing the volume of water displaced in cubic feet by 35, the average density of sea water.

  5. Перемещение, сдвиг, весовое водоизмещение,

  6. The fact of being moved out of the usual position fracture of the radius together with displacement of the wrist

  7. Водоизмещение судна

  8. Водоизмещение; водоизмещающее плавание

  9. The centre of gravity of the displacement relates to the part of the ship under water, considered as homogeneous. the weight of water which a vessel displaces when floating is the same as the weight of the ship. (see centre of cavity.)

  10. Weight of a vessel expressed as either the number of long tons, or the cubic feet of water, displaced by the hull (1 ton = 35 cu.ft of seawater or 35.9 cu.ft of fresh).

  11. The volume of liquid delivered by a single stroke of a pump piston.

  12. Sometimes used as a synonym for offset deflec tion, deviation, dislocation, throw.

  13. The capacity of an air compressor, usually ex pressed in cubic feet of air per minute (c.f.m.).

  14. The weight of water dislocated by the hull of a vessel.

  15. The weight of a boat measured according to the weight of water it displaces. a boat displaces an amount of water equal to the weight of the boat, so the boat’s displacement and weight are identical.

  16. Изменение линейного или углового положения* перемещение, отклонение органа управления

  17. The product of stroke and of cylinder bore and number of cylinders of an engine, representing the theoretical volume of (incompressible) working fluid that can be drawn into an engine with each cycle. see also capacity and swept volume. 45

  18. Displacement is where you change your nearest relative. the process of changing the nearest relative is often known as ‘displacement proceedings’. your nearest relative can be displaced if you or the local authority have concerns about the way that they are behaving. see our pages on the nearest relative for more information.
