Consignment, английский
- Single item of cargo described fro freighting, import/export documents, physically carried from one origin to one destination.
- Goods assigned from beyond sea, or elsewhere, to a factor.
- [1] something that is consigned. [2] the act of consigning something. [3] something sent to an agent for storage, sale, or shipment. see also on consignment.
- An agreement between a consignee and a consignor in which the goods are taken responsibility for and transported by a third party, the carrier. may also simply refer to the consigned goods (i.e., the cargo).
- Transfer of goods to a seller while title to the merchandise is retained by the owner.
