Форма распространения лавы по поверхности, характеризующаяся значи- тельной длиной и относительно небольшой шириной, зависящими от вязкости лавы и уклона ме- стности, по которой она течет. потоки кислых лав обычно короткие (1-10 км) и мощные (до 25-30 м), тогда как потоки базальтовых лав очень длинные (десятки км).
