Plasticity index

    Numerical difference between the liquid limit and the plastic limit. plasticizer 1. an additive that increases plasticity of a cement paste, mortar, or concrete mixture. 2. an additive in a paint formulation to soften the film, thus giving it better flexibility, chip resistance, and formability. 3. a chemical agent added to a plastic composition to improve its flow and processability and to reduce brittleness.
