Гидратация минералов, русский
Процесс, происходящий при выветривании различных минералов. сущность его состоит в том, что многие минералы при воздействии на них воды и водяных паров переходят в соединения, более насыщенные водой, химически связывают ее, образуя кристалло- гидраты. при гидратации слюды и хлориты превращаются в гидрослюды и гидрохлориты. примером гидратации в зоне выветривания может служить переход ангидрита в гипс: caso4 + 2h2o = caso4 • 2h2o ангидрит гипс и гематита в лимонит: fe2o3 + nh2o = fe2o3 • nh2o. гематит лимонит этот процесс нередко сопровождается увеличением объема и развитием трещиноватости.
