A fatty oil that has been oxidized by blowing air through it while it is hot; sometimes mixed with mineral oil for use as a lubricant; used in paints and varnishes because oxidation increases its drying power and viscosity. blow-off on a boiler, an outlet to permit the discharge of accumulated deposits from water.
