Halogenated solvents

Глоссарий терминов смазочных материалов
Solvents formulated with one of the halogens, usually chlorine or fluorine. halogenated solvents are associated with the atmospheric depletion of ozone. hardness – resistance of metal to plastic deformation, usually by indentation. it also includes resistance to scratching, abrasion or cutting. it is the property of a metal, which gives it the ability to resist being permanently deformed when a load is applied.

Halogenations, английский

Solvent, английский
  1. Платежеспособный. кредитоспособный.

  2. A material with a strong capability to dissolve a given substance. the most common petroleum solvents are mineral spirits, xylene, toluene, hexane, heptane, and naphthas. aromatic-type solvents have the highest solvency for organic chemical materials, followed by naphthenes and paraffins. in most applications, the solvent disappears, usually by evaporation, after it has served its purpose. the evaporation rate of a solvent is very important in manufacture.

  3. A liquid capable of dissolving or dispersing another substance (for example, acetone or mineral spirits).

  4. A liquid used to dissolve a solid (such as a paint resin) so that it is brushable; usually volatile; evaporates from the paint film after application; a thinner. solvent-activated adhesive a dry adhesive film that is rendered tacky, just prior to use, by application of a solvent.

  5. A liquid in which a solid substance can be dissolved

  6. Растворитель

  7. A compound capable of dissolving a given substance to form a solution. water is a polar solvent, hydrocarbons are non-polar.

  8. (1) in chemical cleaning, a volatile liquid with the ability to dissolve another material. (2) liquid sometimes used to preclean and/or remove excess penetrant from the specimen. see also solvent removal; color contrast penetrant.

Solvent action, английский
The dissolution of a fluid or solid by another material.

Solvent adhesive, английский
  1. An adhesive having a volatile organic

  2. An adhesive having a volatile organic liquid as a vehicle.

Solvent cleaning (pt), английский
The process of removing the excess penetrant from the surface of a part by washing or wiping with a solvent for the penetrant.

Solvent coated, английский

Solvent coated paper, английский
Бумага, на поверхность которой наносят раствор с летучими растворителями, которые затем испаряются (смолы, пластики).

Solvent developer, английский

Solvent developer (pt), английский
A developer in which the developing powder is applied as a suspension in a quickdrying solvent.

Solvent dyeing, английский
  1. A dyeing method based on solubility of a dye in some liquid other than water, although water may be present in the dyebath.

  2. Dyeing

Solvent extraction, английский
  1. A refining process used to separate components (unsaturated hydrocarbons) from lube distillates in order to improve the oil’s oxidation stability, viscosity index, and response to additives. the oil and the solvent extraction media are mixed in an extraction tower, resulting in the formation of two phases: a heavy phase consisting of the undesirable unsaturates dissolved in the solvent. and a lighter phase consisting of a high quality oil with some solvent dissolved in it. the phases are separated and the solvent recovered from each by distillation.

  2. The most common method for extracting fragrance from natural materials, solvent extraction consists of submerging/macerating the raw material in a chemical solvent (such as hexane) and then vacuum-separating the now extracted fragrant material from the solvent. this produces a solid known as a concrete, which can then be dissolved and distilled again with alcohol to produce an absolute.

  3. A refinery process that utilizes oil and a polar solvent like phenol, n-methyl pyrolidone, furfural, etc., to selectively separate unsaturates from lubricant distillates, in order to improve properties such as oxidation stability, viscosity index and additive response.

Solvent green, английский

Solvent molding, английский
The process of forming thermoplastic articles by dipping a mold into a solution of the resin and then drawing off the solvent, leaving a layer of plastic film adhering to the mold.

Solvent neutral oil (sno), английский
Base oil manufactured from solvent refined paraffinic lube distillates.

Solvent of magnetic high-molecular substance paste, английский

Solvent power, английский

Solvent removal, английский
Process of removing excess penetrant from the surface of a test object by hand wiping with a solvent dampened cloth. see also color contrast penetrant; fluorescent penetrant.

Solvent resistance, английский
  1. Imperviousness of the cured powder coating to changes caused by applied solvents

  2. The ability of thermal management products to resist swelling when exposed to organic solvents such as degreasing solvents, hydraulic fluids, coolants and jet fuel.

Associated, английский
  1. Соответствующий; связанный; присоединенный

  2. Experiencing through your own senses (seeing through your own eyes, hearing with your own ears, feeling with your own feelings.)

Atmospheric, английский
    Атмосферный -

Resistance, английский
  1. Property of a conductor that opposed the current flow produced by a given difference of potential. the ohm is the practical unit of resistance.

  2. Уровень сопротивления - уровень цен, при котором активные продажи могут приостановить или развернуть тенденцию к повышению;

  3. Сопротивление (параметр)

  4. Сопротивление

  5. Сопротивление, т. е. уровень цен, при котором активные продажи могут приостановить или развернуть тенденцию к повышению.

  6. 1. the ability of a person not to get a disease 2. the ability of bacteria or a virus to remain unaffected by a drug the bacteria have developed a resistance to certain antibiotics. 3. opposition to a force

  7. Resistencia

  8. Устойчивость; резистентность resource for child health (reach)

  9. Устойчивость; резистентность

  10. The property of opposing movement, for example [1] electrical conductors offer resistance to the flow of electricity and dissipate some of its energy, usually as heat. [2] water resists the movement of vessels or other objects by parasitic drag, consuming some of the power available to drive the vessel forward.

  11. Imperviousness of the coating to mechanical, chemical, physical or weather influences

  12. Capacity of a member or component, or a cross-section of a member or component of a structure, to withstand actions without mechanical failure e.g. bending resistance, buckling resistance, tension resistance

  13. A material’s ability to restrict the flow of electrical current through itself. measured in ohms.

  14. The opposition of a circuit to the flow of current . resistance is measured in ohms, and can be calculated by dividing the voltage by current.

  15. The ability to impede (resist) the flow of electric current. with the exception of superconductors, all substances have a greater or lesser degree of resistance. substances with very low resistance, such as metals, conduct electricity well and are called conductors. substances with very high resistance, such as glass and rubber, conduct electricity poorly and are called nonconductors or insulators.
